LAYOUT DESIGN

The Buzz is Boston University's official lifestyle magazine, founded in 2009 that produces a bi-annual printed magazine and year-round online content. The Buzz is more than a magazine; it's a vehicle that embodies Boston University's population by showcasing work that is completely student-produced and student-run. The staff is comprised of dedicated, innovative individuals from editorial interns, graphic designers, public relations specialists, and freelance photographers.

I have had the pleasure of being a member of The Buzz since my first year at Boston University. From beginning as a Layout Designer to supporting the creative visions of the magazine as the Art Director, to Fall 2024 being the Creative Director I am grateful to the Buzz for providing me space to grow and lead. As the Creative Director I oversaw a team of 12 Layout Designers and 5 Graphic Designers, collaborated with photographers and stylists to produce editorial photoshoots, and held the physical 94-page masterpiece in my InDesign, the bi-yearly print magazine.

I grew confident in leading a creative team, found a love for photo production and harnessed the power of InDesign through the Buzz and I could not be more grateful! Be sure to check out the full magazine!
